Each month has an individual stone that it is associated with, some months can have up to three stones but traditionally there is one main stone associated with a month. For January the traditional stone is the Garnet, February is the Amethyst, and March is the Aquamarine but traditionally used to be the Bloodstone. July is the Ruby; August actually has three different gemstones. Traditionally the stone associated with August was the Sardonyx; however, it is now more commonly known as the Peridot or Spinel. November is another month that has three different gemstones, traditionally known as Topaz; November also has the Golden Topaz and the Citrine.
